Soapwalla Travel Guide || Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica
September 15, 2016
Hold on to summer a little longer and hop down to Costa Rica, Rachel’s favorite place to visit. Her top spots are below!
STAY || Hotel Entre Dos Aguas Rachel’s dear friends operate this charming hotel in the sleepy seaside town of Samara.
DO || Soak up the sun at the beach! Costa Rica is known for beautiful beaches, don’t miss the chance to bask in the sun while admiring the water when you visit. Bring a book, a big hat, and relax.
If you’ve always wanted to learn how to surf, check out Playas Santa Teresa and Nosara – both towns offer lessons from certified schools, and provide a range of waves for you to try out your new skills!
If yoga is your passion, check out Casa Zen (Santa Teresa) and Luna Lodge (set in the heart of the Corcovado rain forest) for stunning accommodations and year-round yoga retreats.
EAT || Make sure to avail yourself of the clean, fresh cooking available in Costa Rica. The citrus, avocados and papayas are different from what we have in the United States, and it’s so fun to try new things when you travel. For breakfast, enjoy gallo pinto seasoned rice and beans with tomato, egg (if you choose) and a plate of tropical fruit. Lunch and dinner are delicious and clean ‘tipico,’ comprised of rice and beans, a small salad, plantains, and perfefctly ripe avocado (mmm).
