Experience the Joy of Double Masking

Who says you need to go to a spa to get the best facial? With a couple additions, your bathroom can become the retreat space of your dreams (check out these 7 tips from our friends at Redfin to create the ultimate bathroom spa experience). When your skin is dry and in desperate need of some moisture, we reach for these essentials. We're sharing our favorite double masking routine to hydrate, rejuvenate, and revitalize in just 20 minutes.
Step One: Tone It Up
After cleansing, spritz entire face with your favorite toning mist (we're currently obsessed with the Hydrating toner during this dry and chilly NYC winter). You can pump the mist directly onto skin or use a reusable facial pad to swipe onto the face and neck. A toner preps the face to receive the products. Just a few sprays will help neutralize pH and refine skin texture, allowing the skin to better absorb moisture. Think of a toning mist as the foundation for the rest of your skincare application.
Step Two: Mix Up the Mask
Take a second to stir your Phosphorescence Facial Mask to ensure all of the fabulous natural ingredients (algae and natural sea kelp bioferment, food-grade chlorophyll, and lavender) are properly incorporated. It's a good idea to mix/stir all of your Soapwalla products before use to get the most out of your product. Scoop a little bit of this awesome jelly mask and gently apply to the face and neck. Take care to use a featherlight touch and softly massage any tension spots. Pay attention to the temples, jawline, and lymph nodes on the neck, and apply very soft pressure.
Step Three: Balms Away
Grab your jar of Concentrated Repair Balm. Gently melt the top layer of The Balm by softly mixing the product with your finger. This will warm (and gently melt) the product, giving it an ooey-gooey texture that is perfect for double masking. Scoop a bit out (more than you would use for typical moisturizing) and massage the product on top of the mask. Depending on how dry your skin is, you can tailor the amount to your specific needs. When applying, focus on any spots that need an extra dose of hydration. Leave for 20 minutes, then gently pat face with a warm washcloth to remove excess product. If your face is extra dry, follow up with another spritz (or a few) of toning mist. Voila!
Ready, set, glow!
